There is a new cast out made of plastic, its made after they scan your arm with a 3d printer, I cant see them being cheep but its an option, its fully water proof and you can use it in every day life.

Google plastic cast for arm and you will see it, there is a place here that will do it, but i have not checked on the price.
I believe there is also a fiberglass option.

You can always go old school too and use a big ziplog bag and some elastics to keep the water out

Oh God, that just made my shoulder hurt just reading that! I fell with my arm straight out, plowed into the ground and tore 3 of the four tendons, including tearing my bicep right off the bone. My heart goes out to you, what did the Dr. say today?

I guess you can take us off the list, as well as our very good friends Beth and Brian. Our trip is cancelled. Postponed. Whatever. We wont be at TTR on Labor Day, on the Sold out Sept 2nd Boobs Cruise, or there for my birthday. How am I going to celebrate my birthday without a Boobs Cruise???

Bad news... re my broken elbow. I have to have surgery. Appt with surgeon Thursday. The orthopedic doctor I saw yesterday day said I have bone fragments in my joint that need to be picked out. It's a delicate surgery so he recommended a hand surgeon. Off work all this week. No Mexico. Not this weekend. Maybe over Halloween/Dia de Los Muertos.

Really smashed it up good. I may have to have a prosthetic elbow. My newest nickname (from Darrin) is The Bionic Woman.

Maybe next year we will get to party with all of you awesome people.

PS. I just have to say publicly how wonderful Beth and Brian are. They could obviously go ahead with their trip, but don't want to go without us so they are waiting to go when we can all reschedule. Now that's love and friendship, and I am so grateful for them. <3

 

Oh Lora, So sorry to hear that, was looking forward to meeting you and hanging out. I'll be thinking of you and praying everything goes well, better to get it all sorted out quickly before there's anymore damage.
