My wife fell and broke her hand while at TTR last December. WE both feel really sorry for you. It could have come at a worst time!! (the day before you leave for TTR would have been much worst). If that makes you feel any better !!! Probably not.
We know exactly how you feel about "salvaging" your vacation.

Just make sure you bring lots of pain pills. My wife would feel okay until she got "out and about", and then it got very painful. I guess a lots of Dos XXX will also work.

We went back to TTR on April 23 of 2013 and while the cast was off, she still hurt a good bit. She always had this little air cushion to rest her arm on if it hurt too bad. It just seemed to take forever for the thing to heal and then the Therapy afterwards . She didn't have the surgery, but i think she regrets that now. She wished we had sold her 370z with the manual transmission. (bad decisison).
