Everyone has said great things on here. I will add, I work at a military hospital, and meet many wounded warriors. Their courage and determination to deal with a loss, whatever it may be, is always awe-inspiring. They are the toughest, most resilient men and women I have ever met! So, if anything, whatever path you take, just dealing with this, makes you MORE of a man. And that's sexy! Carrie
Well, that's an upside to having a fake leg what you just said actually did make me smile, thank you! I'm just looking at the positive point of being able to do the things I used to do before the walk with a cane. I can't wait to actually stand when I DJ, and not have to sit on a tall store to make it look like I'm standing LOL. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you! I do know what you have been through, probably not all of it .But what you have shared with me has been very inspirational. That's my main thing, if I don't get it done then The muscle necrosis could spread past my knee and that would be bad because it can affect certain things that no man wants affected LOL.. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and just laugh at the fact that I'm sure I'm doing the right thing. One thing I am worried about is I don't want what happened to me too affect anyone's decision to join the military. Joining the Army was one of the great moments in my life, and you only get several great moments. Maybe this is another great moment in my life where I don't have to take pain medication or anxiety medication because I'm worried about people looking at me weird when I limp or walk with my cain. That is one reason that I posted this on here, because a lot of you guys seem like a second family and have never judged me for walking with a cane. On a lighter note, it sucks getting through air port security when you walk with a cane, at least with the prosthetic leg, I would not have to walk with a cane, or bring a doctors note because I have pain medication in my carry-on. Also, I would be able to stand instead of sitting on the bench when I call the plays at my sons football games. He is eight years old, getting ready to turn nine, and looks at me as his hero because The things I have been through. When I asked his opinion on what he thought I should do, he said "do it Pop! that way you can get out in the yard and play baseball and throw footballs to me" ( he plays wide receiver ) lol.. I would just rather have a fake leg, and be able to do the things that I used to do without having to walk with a cane, instead of having to take pain medication that the doctors seem to want to shove down my throat, those things numb you out and I don't like that feeling. This might not seem important to some people but still plan on making my Halloween trip to Temptation I may be sporting my new leg by then or still be walking with a cane waiting on my surgery date, but I'm still going to party my ass off and not worry about what people think about me, I do Pray that you're still doing well, and thank you once again.. First off, thank you for working in a military hospital and helping wounded soldiers. Second, thank you for making me smile with that sexy remark i try and be as much of a man as a man can be, but sometimes things get me down. Knowing that I will be back at TTR for Halloween lifts me up! I might have my new leg by then, if not I'll still walk a cane, and maybe my costume can be the great Gatsby LOL..your friend for life, AJ. PS, thanks again for making me smile Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A man who fought for his country, was mentally strong enough to make such a tough choice, is a role model for his son, and is able to admit when he's afraid and ask for help? AJL, trust me, if anyone is going to judge your manliness, it's going to be that you are one awesome guy!
Anything that helps to make me sexy, I need it lol.. Once again thank you your friend for life..AJ P.S. Whether I have my new leg by then or am still walking with a cane, I am going to be there for Halloween thanks again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Check out a spinal stimulator implant from a company called Medtronic and there's one other but I don't know the name. My wife had severe nerve damage as well in her arm and used to receive nerve block injections, pain meds, etc. Now she just has a little computer that tells her brain her arm doesn't hurt. I sent you a PM
