omg this gets even more confusing!!!! I thought the waitress came once you sat down and took your order?! I'm lazy! I don't want to get up AGAIN to tell them what I want at the bar AND remember my table number on top of it! :!: hehe, can't wait!
Only in very posh pubs, that are more commonly known in the UK as ' Restaurants ' :lol: You sound like high maintenance. Please dont talk to me again :lol: :lol: What for, an ale ?........... Me thinks you have a problem lady. Ian :lol: :lol: PS. If you want to eat in a pub in the UK the more common way of doing so is like I described earlier ie you walk in, find a table, note the number look at the menu choose a meal then order it with your drink at the bar. Then a watress will bring said meal to your table. Most will not have waitress's taking food and drinks orders as they want all the ordering and cash handling done in one place ie the till. Cuts down on order mistakes and thefts, if you want anything else you go bck to the bar and order, if your not happy with this then a restaurant will gladly provide you with waitress service..... at approx twice the cost of what you'd pay in a pub.
