I am curious as to why people chose to go to TTR for the first time

Like many of you, we were looking for an adult all inclusive resort that was fun and affordable. We stumbled onto Temptation while surfing the web. At first glance Jen was a bit turned off by the hotel's appearance, and the 70's porn vibe she felt. Cancuncare saved the day, she was able to see all of you, great pics and stories of fun times. We had many friends thanks to the site prior to arrival, and immediately felt comfortable. This destination seemed a lot like the pool parties at our house, lots of drinking, boobs out, in general just crazy times. We are hooked and can't imagine how boring a normal style resort really is.

 

We had gone to a normal resort the year before and decided we wanted to try out an adults only... mainly to get away from kids at the resort.. Took about 5 min to realize TTR was probably the only resort we'll go to now. I feel like anywhere else we'd go now we'd be saying " This isn't Temptation"

 

I booked my own "special" birthday and a few friends and some family came with us. Had NO idea what TTR was all about. Picked it because it was advertised as Adult fun. Adult pool games. Also, the price was right. We knew after maybe the first hour that we were coming back ALONE. By alone, I mean we are not taking anyone from home with us (ever again.) Don't get me wrong, we had a great time but we were rather conservative. I think what did our friends in is that when her husband had to exchange the bottoms of their bathing suits! She nearly had a heart attack. HA! This is the same couple that while she was in the shower he would sneak in our room to watch the porn channel. He hates it every time we say we are going back because we know HE wants to come back with us. Needless to say we have been coming back every year since then and met "like" people here. All new friends that DON'T JUDGE. Just love this addiction.

Got divorced and needed a me break. Wanted adults only and no kids. First time I went was in January and was pretty quiet from bad weather but meet a couple that was their with a family get together and being single they took me in and made me feel welcomed. The last night I was there meet a few people that were on CCC and told me to check it out. Came back the first week in May and meet a great group of people and from then on I made TTR my second home and now do May and Halloween plus of course the New Orleans CCC group. Been in January,February, March, April, May, September and October/November.
Multiple times in April/May, October/November.
The people is what makes the resort and I don't think I have ever meet anyone from CCC that I didn't enjoy meeting.
For me going solo I don't think I could find any other place where couples don't judge us single people until they get to know us. Singles that get the bad rap are the ones that expect to get lucky every night and when it don't happen they get stupid and creepy. I go to meet like minded individuals that just want to party and create memories and friends that last a long time.

Stacia & I decided to go to TTR the 1st time back in 2007, when it was in transition from BBG (Blue Bay Getaway) into the Temptation brand.

The online vacation outlet website, Discount Cruises, Last Minute Cruises, Cruise, Cruise Line, Cruise Vacation, sent out an email special for BBG, advertising 5 nights at then-BBG, including airfare from Houston, with an all-in price of less than $1,100. I checked it out, then told Stacia about it, and she got all worried about the fact that it was tops-optional....

I had to remind Stacia that, during our honeymoon (Cancun Palace 1998) she had ran around that place in a thong with her boobies out for most of the trip at that resort.... so... why not!?!?

She gave in, and we met Graham & Diane there at BBG's Sexy Pool. Diane never even packs a swim top, so that was the end of that!

Been back 12 times in the next 6 years.

 

Our first trip was in 2008 I think, and we were debating staying at TTR for 4 nights, and somewhere else for the other 4, just in case we hated it. We ended up booking the entire trip at TTR, and haven't looked back since. Trip #7 (or 8?) is booked for May.

 

Went for the first time this summer. We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary. We wanted to party and then relax. Was thinking Vegas for the party and then a nice all inclusive in Cancun to relax. Came across TTR and was like we can save on the flight to Vegas and party just the same. We split our and went to a nice all inclusive after but I really wanted to be back at TTR. Even if we were in a nice place everyone was with their nose up and in Polo's during the day in Mexico..smh. Booked to go back next June again. Officially a Junkie.

 

Curtis and I have been to numerous resorts in Mexico. Prior to TTR we stayed at one resort twice (work trip), other than that we have never stayed at the same place until we found TTR.

2011 Curtis said, "Do you want to go to an all adult quiet resort, or an all adult party resort?"

Me: "I want to go where the party is."

We came across cancuncare before our first trip to TTR in June 2011, I fell in love with the forum, and then fell in love with the people that make TTR.

Just got back from our 5th trip earlier this month, and trip #6 in June with the JUNE JUNKIES is in the party planning process!!!

The people I have met in this forum, and others that I have met at TTR are why we keep going back every June! Initially the deciding factor was to be able to party without having to leave the resort!
