    NOT OUT OF THE WOODS, YET

    Although this season continues to be a very low frequency hurricane season for the Western Caribbean, and the Cancun area (and the western hemisphere, in general); and, in spite of having dodged the bullet with Hurricane Ida, we're not out of the woods yet.

    Though many will tell you the hurricane season ends at the end of November in this part of the world, Tropical Storm Olga caused flooding in the Cancun area on December 14, 2007.

    IDA WOULDN'T QUIT

    Amazingly, the remnants of Ida hit the UK in the last couple of days, causing massive flooding, and significant damage, according to CNN.

    Gordon Brown was on TV last evening, announcing efforts to assist the flood victims.

    Some storms just don't know when to quit!

    Sure glad she slid past us: sorry about you Brits, though....
