Boy! You guys are tough! Remind me never to show you my attempts! (OOPS! too late!) But at least I wasn't roasted in public over an open fire!! LOL
A 1996-style web site built in 1996 is one thing. But we are all supposed to have graduated to the next century by now. My first web site had FRAMES and everything...that was back in 1994 I think.
CNN weather just reported that tropical storm Ida should be named by this evening - formed just off the coast of Honduras. Isn't it a bit late for this? Tracey
TROPICAL DEPRESSION 11 Probably not much of a threat, but we'll want to keep an eye on it. Thanks for calling it to our attention, TraceyUK. It's now off the coast of Nicaragua, moving northwest, generally towards Cancun, and east of Cancun. Even if it stayed on this track, and intensified, and it may do neither, it looks like it's at least six days, or so, from here. http://www.stormpulse.com/
It won't strengthen while it's over land. And it won't have much time to strengthen before hitting us once it's back over water. But then didn't Wilma form pretty close to us?
http://www.stormpulse.com/hurricane-wilma-2005 Similarities for sure but Wilma had more sea time prior to hitting Cancun than Ida *should* have. My flight is supposed to arrive in Cancun this Monday at 1 p.m. Great
Well, it looks like Cancun might get a good wash after all this year... the latest predictions from the all seeing weather prophets at the National Hurricane Center, show IDA headed straight at us.... course that probably means it wont come anywhere near the area...
Can't see this one becoming a hurricane. Too much land, not enough water before it reaches us. But remember TS can mean up to 70mph winds so we could still be in for a rough ride and a lot of rain.... not like we dont have enough at the moment. One to keep an eye on for sure, I really hope I dont have to open up the hurricane blog again.
