Doesnt look like cancun is going to get hit that hard, cross your fingers! Dean has continued to move towards the west, but also moving further south! Tropical Winds and rain is called for around cancun, but nothing like hurricane forced winds, so.............thats a relief if that remains to be true!! lets all keep praying!
The Cancun airport is set to close at 10PM tonight...they're still trying to get as many tourists out as possible.
From the satellite, looks like dean is knockin on cancuns door (not the main part obviously) lets hope for the best!
That's right.. The area it's headed to know is not a well off one. The destruction that could come at the hands of Dean may very well cripple the area and leave many people that have no place to go homeless and without a source of income. They need our prayers as much as the people of Cancun did when we thought Cancun was going to be the direct hit.
I read somewhere that although Cancun wont be hit with the full force of Hurricane dean, but 18 to 24 foot waves will be battering the beaches of cancun very soon
this is a really good site for tracking the storm http://www.weather.com/newscenter/hurricanecentral/2007/dean.html?nav=3&#navbar got lots of info on it!
