I tried to book through Alpharooms from Oct 28 to November 4 (7 nights) single occupancy and came more expensive than the Temptations website...I saw a much better deal about $65.00 cheaper per night 2 weeks ago in Alpha...I guess it is not a good idea to wait.
First off, I'm going to advise everyone to follow Steve's advice--he knows way more about this than I do, and since I won't take this trip until March I can't promise that there won't be unpleasant surprises (and I will certainly post if there are!!!!) However, I just checked with TTR, and they do have our reservation for the dates we requested. I checked with my Visa, and the charges are exactly what Sun and Fun promised. I printed out all of the correspondence with Sun and Fun, and there is no agreement to do a timeshare presentation in Cancun--although that is spelled out clearly on the terms and conditions for Cabo. I know some of you said this might make the difference in whether you can go. I would proceed with caution, to be sure, but I wouldn't write this deal off completely if it's your only chance.
Even having to endure a 90 min,, presentation for a $ 500 saving would not have been a bad deal ?? If you have the Resorts confirmation # then your all set ! Sometimes some good thing are true,, just ask the people that got the deals in Oct.
Just so y'all know, it really isn't a "time-share" sort of thing anymore. Timeshare implies that you are stuck at the one place, but with the RCI thing that you get with the TTR membership, we'll be off to Majorca, or is it Mallorca, next June/July, and Europe the next, then Australia the one after we think. Just a heads-up. It's a good deal, if you can swing it.

fun and sun getaways 2/13 We also worried about this. We called to cancel because of the confirmation timeline. Surprise an hour later we where booked with a confirmation # and yes we called TTR to confirm. 10 days $99.00 a day. Yippee!
Have you read the thread Sun N fun thread? Yes, TTR would have your booking but no payment... so in the end many people found themselves with no booking. I sincerely hope this is not the case for you.
