have been wondering this since i was a kid, how can u possibly call it a world series if teams from the usa and one from canada are competing, same in basketball they are not world champions, hockey u have stanley cup champions and in football superbowl champions
Yeah, it is silly, with football (Soccer) you have the Uefa champions league and that makes you champion of Europe but that is against the best teams in europe! The national teams have the world cup which is world teams so the world cup Rugby you have the world cup with all the nations taking part it makes sense Cricket world cup you have teams across the world F1 Drivers and teams from accross the globe representing nations... All the MLB teams are American bar one Canadian... hardly appropriate to say world champions is it :roll: :roll:
