    DAC tariff

It's even better than that: to lose the 1C tariff you'd have to have an annual average monthly consumption exceeding 850 KWH/month!

    I just saw this V:

"subsidies being cut off at anything above 450 KWH consumption a month"

my recent bill was about 1700 with 1300 subsidy and my usage was 580kw or something close. Does that mean that if I keep going like this they will cut the subsidy and I'll end up paying 1700?

I think I can see where some misunderstandings can creep in: you lose all subsidies if your annualized average monthly consumption hits 850- at which point you are reclassified to tariff DAC, until you can get your average back down.

The subsidies themselves, when you have them, apply to that part of the till you spoke of, and you pay the full rate on any excess consumption.

Conserving AC use is my motto! I have found weather strips for door bottoms, ones you nail to the door and give a seal with a rubber bottom, to be very helpful. Each of the doors in my house has one and you can control the mini spits this way to only cool the rooms in use. They cost 110 pesos at Home Depot. They, in my opinion, save a lot. I am down from 4000 and put to just under 3000 pesos every two months.
