I agree with that, and also with USA Transfers. Totally worth the bit of extra money. For less than the cost of a meal out you can be personally chauffered to TTR insanely fast.
Our first few trips was carry on only. Now we check bags and like it better, the few minutes saved are not worth it in our opinion, they can be used up waiting for USA Transfers or standing in line at the hotel.
So you did end up deciding to bring what you made from clone-a-willy.com, hopefully you don't get red-lighted at customs. :icon_biggrin:

We had two bags checked and the only delay was cause we stopped and asked a question about the paperwork. Therefore puting us farther down the line. DO NOT ASK SECURITY ABOUT PAPERWORK!!! Haha!! No hablo! It was really not bad at all though.
The stupid TSA liquid rules make it impossible for me to go there for a week without checking a bag because I won't have enough hair stuff - grrr!
We always bring check in's beause we stay for over two weeks The only delay we have ever seen is when we get a red light, my husband smokes cigers, last Oct we got the red light and he had to pay for bringing more cigars than allowed, more than what he paid for them. For the Mexcians officals to figure out how much he owed took over an hour!
In three trips, I've always checked bags. The first trip my bag was waiting for me after sailing thru customs. The second trip, the bag was waiting, but it took 45 minutes to get thru customs because two planes landed at once. The third time, we got thru customs in 30 minutes, but waited at least another 30 minutes for our bags because 3 or 4 flights were being unloaded at once. The message here is: you just never know. but how are you two going to pack all those costumes into two carry-ons???
