Newbies Our first time to TTR in one week 18th we land at 7:30... Hopefully enough time to make it to the theme party...So looking forward to this anxious and excited for this new adventure...Hope to meet a lot of great people... give us a shout if you will be there at the same time...

Can you imagine another place on earth where you get so much support???:liebe011: Temptation is sooo much more than just a vacation spot. The whole vibe allows you to remember the person you used to be, but maybe more importantly, shows you the person you can be. After my separation, I tried a few other resorts and spent the week feeling sorry for myself. I thought I was being brave and adventurous to travel on my own, but you can only handle so many sympathetic looks and pity invites to join them for dinner. It was soul crushing. I decided to give it one last shot. I figured Temptation may be a little more than I could handle, but it looked like there would be enough singles that I wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. Maybe I would get lucky and meet a few 'vacation' friends and have someone to eat dinner with. I brought enough books to get me through the day, but eating alone was not something I was looking forward to. I arrived late in the evening and they put me over in the 100 section. Changed my clothes, took a deep breath and went looking for a place called Paty O's. What I walked into was way more than I expected, and to be honest was a little intimidating. I'm not particularly shy, but I had no idea how I was going to fit in. Maybe a drink would help. A little liquid courage might help to strike up a conversation with a complete stranger...maybe. I met my first 'friend' while waiting for that drink! He could tell I just got there. Something about the white complexion. I hesitated as he encouraged me to go meet some of his friends. Experience told me this is how horror stories or porn start. It turned out to be neither, and I am glad I went! It was the start of the most amazing week I had ever had. The rest of the week was a blissful blur. I wasn't simply a divorcee with 2 kids, a mortgage, and a tonne of responsibilities. I was Christa again. I remembered that I love to dance. I love to flirt. I love to drink responsibly . And I love to laugh...a lot! I was way naughtier than I thought I could have imagined, but not any naughtier than I wanted to be. No books were read and the only time I was alone was when I wanted to be. I met some people who have become way more than just 'vacation friends'. I have since been back 7 or 8 times and have found a home with the Chaos Crew. It's my yearly rejuvenation and I wouldn't want to go without it!
Here is something o ponder.... How many posts do people talk about how great the people they met at TTR were, how much fun they had, how awesome the staff was, how stupid-crazy you could get if you Want to, and how much fun it is to just sit back and watch people having that nearly-illegal fun? "Fantastic people I met at TTR were the best, going to stay in touch with them when back int he real world, coming back next (spring, summer, December April Addiction, etc...) and going to have even more fun and this time I'm going to get out there and do my thing in the (Ironman/woman, Ms. Temptation, Bellyflop, Naked Tequila Volleyball, etc...) and it's going to be even better!" It really is like that. If you want to shake your head in sorry, go read a page or two of the Trip Advisor reviews of TTR, and wait until you get to someone who is way too stressed about things that, in the end, really don't matter at all. "Wow, did you see what she was wearing?" "Oh my goodness, should she be outside wearing that?" "Wow, he's not been in a gym in a decade, huh..." "Those people are just too loud and stupid acting." Ah well. I'm sorry to say, fuck them. I'm having fun, and will be until they roll the carcass into the burn chamber, or drop me into the soylent green. IT IS NOW ONE WEEK UNTIL TRIP STARTS!
We both ended up naked the majority of the trip back on the Boobs Cruise. Doesn't really surprise me though...:beer4:
TTR is full of great people and great times but the resort desperately needs updating...renovating. The furniture throughout the resort is shot.....especially in the specialty restaurants, but in the lobby, the Cigar Lounge......everywhere. The very best thing about the resort is the people......both the guests and the staff.
L&T, I don't think it rises to the level of "desperate," really. A simple needs would do. Been to Jamaica or the Bahamas (not Atlantis) recently? THAT stuff "desperately needs" renovating/removal/replacement. The TTR stuff looks weathered, sure. But, consider the price people still get to pay to go to TTR, which seems to remain, with the ever-present specials, quite a bit less than other Cancun all-inclusive resorts,. And... at some of the other Cancun all-inclusives, the service, and even the food, is not as good, though in cases you pay twice as much. No clue why. Management, I imagine. Still, I'm less concerned with that than I am in getting my Bubba Keg filled with cold beer for free, having Stacia with me nearly or all naked, chatting and laughing it up with folks in/around the Sexy Pool or at Patyo's.
