We tend to travel quite a bit to the tropics, so between trips & the tanning bed for a week or so prior to leaving, we're "golden" Dave tends to burn a bit, so we bring some serious sunblock for him. I'm darker complected and I don't normally burn, so usually a SPF4 is all I need if any. When using the tanning bed, I prefer the stand-up units. That way I don't get that annoying white spot on my tailbone. I guess this trip I actually have to wear a bikini bottom, so it won't be as noticeable.
We too tan since we come from a cold climate. We have been really fortunate to get away a couple of times a year so once you get the first layer brown then you can go occasionally to keep it that way. Since the trip is always short it is handy to have some base before you get there so you can stay out as long as possible without side affects. We have seen B&B and he is right the sun sure lights Barb up and he does shed skin, hair , clothes (LOL) as the weeks goes. :wink: :wink:
