Cancun Palace Scheduled to open yesterday, just checked and not operational updates. I guess it is open and under construction :?:
Wonderful news...Dave T is among the first to be transferred to the Cancun Palace yesterday and has been writing first-hand reports here: http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8436&start=30
palace preferences If you're wanting a crowded hotel book the downtown palaces & playacar, if you want plush wide open resorts the moon, adentura, and xpuha are the ones for you. You may have more walking and such but they have shuttles around resorts and for me the adventura is the best. lots of marble, adult only, pool is about a 1/2 mile long, more food choices than you need (i think 8 resturants) plus, you can have room service, lunch at pool side as well. We take day trips to each of the hotels to try the other places to eat and enjoy each ones ammenities as the taxi to each one is a set fare. For honeymoons I'd go to adventura for sure.
For sure Aventura for a honeymoon!!! Oh man, I went there for a day and I thought is was just luxurious(sp?)! I went to the spa and that was great. I told my daughter that I am taking her there for her 18th birthday, 3 more years. This year we are going to the Cancun Palace. Ellabear424
Hey Guys... Does anyone know if anything happened to the Moon Palace? Would u suggest staying there? I'm a Palace Premier member and have been for 1 year now. Went to the Beach Palace 2 years ago and Aventura Spa last year. Both times were an amazing vacation and felt like a queen. The number one thing I require is a nice beach. What I want is pristine blue water, a nice modern and clean room, spa, and palapas. Would I be pleased with Moon Palace? Or should I go to Cancun Palace? My boyfriend and I are going together for our first trip together and I just want to make sure everything is good. Does anyone remember at the Moon Palace if you go on an entertainment tour, such as Cocobungo for the night, if the bus took you there and took you home? I just don't remember... Thanks for the feedback... Andrea ps.. We are going May 27th through June 3rd.
If a pristine beach is a must...unfortunately the Moon Palace does not have one. There is no turquoise blue water and a bunch of seagrass washes up on the shoreline everyday. So much so they have a crew raking it up or driving a beach "zamboni" to scoop it up. All thanks to the coral reef being closer to shore there.
HOLD YOUR APPLAUSE!!! I have worked my fingers to the bone, clicking away, trying to find us some information. Here is what I have found!!! http://cancuntrip.homestead.com/index.html Let me know if you are able to see the pics. ELLABEAR424
Moon Palace/Cancun Palace I've been taking in information from multiple sources. My boyfriend and I have decided on the Moon Palace. I would have loved the Sun Palace, but he said it looked to old and boring and it was couples only and wanted a noisy/fun place. Unfortunately the Moon Palace doesn't have the beach that I want completely and I'm still debating on the Cancun Palace. What I want to know is... does anyone remember if when taking a bus trip to CocoBungo at night or other clubs, do they take you back or do you have to get a $20 cab ride back? I know my boyfriend and I are going to want to party at night here and there. Look forward to the information. Ellabear424, thanks for the posting, definitely looks like they are still doing work at Cancun Palace. Andrea
If you are beach person like me, I would not recommend the Moon Palace. I am a member too and I am hoping that the Cancun Palace is up and fully running for my vacation. I love love love the beach.
Re: Moon Palace/Cancun Palace Andrea, I'm not sure if you received my PM in response to your questions. You will need to find your own ride back from the clubs when the activitiy staff takes you there. The price you pay includes the open bar , and transportation to, but NOT from. Chances are, you'll meet up with others going and could split the cost of the cab ride back. We've never had problems with that.
