Melinda & I met in fourth grade. We rode the same school bus. She sat in the front with her Wonder Woman lunch box while I was in charge of the rowdy bunch of boys in the back. She told me that she never would make eye contact with me for fear that she would be the subject of some of my “potty humor”.

We graduated high school the same year but hung out with different crowds. She was a band nerd and I played baseball & tennis.

It wasn’t until after college (we went to different schools) that we met up at a party. I had a date, but completely ignored her-I had my radar on Melinda. We were married two years later. We've been married for 18 years now. She is the best thing that ever happened to me.

A couple of years ago, we were sitting at the dinner table waiting to eat. Our son got to the table with no shirt on, sat down and burped. Melinda just put her face in her hands and said, “It serves me right for marrying the grossest kid on the fourth grade bus”.

My friend and I had just walked into local bar and there was this guy singing karaoke, he was hot and I didn't see him w/anyone so the next time he came up to sing, i shoved $5 down his pants and told my friend that I'd be getting that $5 back by end of the night......which I did, but I didn't expect it to to end up to 12 years together, 5 years happily married and a son!

    All great stories.

Roger and I knew each other thru mutual friends. My cousin was dating one of his best friends. I thought Roger and his friends were the biggest bunch of dorks I had ever met with all their "traditions" that they did before they went out and how they acted. Roger was some what of a ladies man :? but I never knew why. We would see him and his friends out at the club and I would see girls all around him...I was convinced he had something that had to be attracting those girls but I just couldn't for the life of me figure it out...I just didn't see it. Not to mention he is short. I don't (didn't) like short men (no offense). So one night my cousin got me to hang out with this same group again and we all had decided to go to this bar and Roger got in my car ( I looked at my cousin and said "what is he doing in my car") So we get to the club and I am still not happy because I am out with these dorks  As the night went on I looked at my cousin and said you know what...he is kind of cute. She said Bridget you are wasted...you can't stand him. So I went over to him and we started dancing, we have been together ever since. That was May 30th 1998, got engaged December 24th 2000, Married October 2001, have been married for over 5 years.

We have this on going bet of who wanted who first. His friends would always tell him that he didn't have a chance in hell with me because I hated him so much. He swears I wanted him first (before that night we danced) and I swear that he wanted me first because if he didn't...his friends would have never told him that he would never get me. So I told him that my one wish would be if I was on my death bed...to tell me he wanted me first

    That's my story! :D

I had just come back from Cancun in May 2003.

Over Memorial Day weekend that year, my friend Judy and her husband
had her traditional "lamb roast" at her house near Columbus, OH.

He's a friend of Judy's husband. I've known Judy since kindergarten.

He asked me where I got the great tan, and the rest is history.

We hit it off right away, and made the 3 hour drive back home together.
He lives less than 10 minutes from me.

We've been together ever since, and to made this Cancun related, we've
been to Cancun/Playa del Carmen 5 times since then.

Our 6th trip together to Mexico (my 27th to Cancun/Playa), rescheduled
after a family emergency in November, is coming up in early 2007.

Sparkey and I met 3 years ago at a singles event in a bowling alley. He was the captain of my team. We flirted and flirted. I got jealous when he spoke to other ladies. Nothing happened.

A few weeks later right after I was canned from my job, a mutual friend asked if he could come to my pre-holiday party party. I said sure though not really remembering him except that he had good personality. Well that night we got along well.. flirted, talked, flirted etc. After the holiday party we went to a bar and he tried to take me home. But my drunk friend Kim would not have it. she hailed the cab and off we went. it as only 5 minutes into the cab ride did she realize what she did. (we are still great friends) it did not seem to deter him.

cause a week later he asked me out. we met at my place, then had dinner and then went to several bars nearby. well 7.5 hours later our first date ended with a simple kiss and the rest is history. we were engaged 6 months later and married last fall.

could not imagine a better man in my life. I love ya Sparkey!
