As far as the old timers going to Management with "suggestions" be assured that we, like everyone else, let them know what we think. They do resist a group coming to them and telling them how to run their business. That has been tried before and not worked out. As Steve said, they also had someone reading the Board and reporting the comments made here back to the staff meetings. That doesn't happen anymore either. The absolutely best way to make sure you are heard is to seek out the Entertainment staff when they are walking around the pool with comment cards and fill the out. Fill out the comment card when you check out. Write volumes there about what you like and don't like. What you want to stay, what you want to go away, and what you want to come back. They read every single one of those comment cards. Every single one. Most only have the boxes check with no comments. That is useless to them if you think about it. Sure you might say they are doing great, but what makes it great? Maybe you check that they were doing something poorly. Why? How can they improve it? If the staff comes to them and says 45 people told me XYZ and not a single comment card says that.. well Management could assume that the Entertainment Staff wanted XYZ and made up number to support it. Let's face it, we have two ways to address changes we don't like. The first is way is to vote with our dollars and no go... not going to happen.. The second is to fill out those comment cards. Every change they make people bitch, moan, and complain about but the Management says they don't see anything on the comment cards. So vote early and vote often with your comment cards and let your voice be heard. Jamie
Not sure that chucking the stuff is the way to go...most people who reserve early are at the pool around 10 am anyways. Those that come in the afternoon after reserving chairs are another story but fortunately they are fairly few and far in between. We reserve our chairs early and our group is there early. I'd be pretty bent out of shape if I showed up at the pool at 9:30 to find someone had "taken" them. It would very much be a "Game On" situation. AND being a responsible TTR regular, I am pretty sure we would "Win" after the staff became involved. The staff does know who is who in these situations. Showing up late morning and chucking some ones stuff is just as bad if not worse than those who reserve and don't show up until the afternoon. Also, you never know if someone might have gone for an early lunch or a quick break from the sun The staff takes "f*cking around with someone else's property very seriously and won't tolerate it. Hate to say it, but you will come out with the short end of the stick if you do it and would get you tossed from the resort if you started something physical over it.
I agree I wouldn't recommend that either. This past time someone did take our chairs.. we didn't get angry, just disappointed we thought we had it in the bag. The two weeks we were there we never did get a couple of chairs. And if the worse happens and you can't get a chair there is lots of standing room to watch the fun. And you can always sit in the pool. Its nice on the beach, and yes even the quiet pool.
Get you own chairs Can't you just take the bus into town and buy a couple chairs for the week? That seems like a reasonable alternative to us
We had a small situation when we had placed towels on chairs early in the am and a couple came down complaining to us that we were on their chairs. :sauer024:We did then find a magazine they had put there that had blown away that we had not seen. We helped them bring two chairs up from the beach, squeezed them in, and made new friends. Problem solved. It's freaking Mexico, everyone needs to lighten up and enjoy...:aktion030:
I disagree, with not letting people save chairs. I get down early every morning and save a couple chairs. If you want to sleep till late too bad so sad, But on the other hand I use the chair all day...I do hate the people that save chairs and don't use them. Its like that at every resort, The early bird get the worm....In other words get your lazy asses up and enjoy the party..Cause you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning...lol
tans a lot i agree with you 100 percent can i ask you to do me a favor and save me and t a couple too :aktion030: thanks rob
Or you can sleep on the chairs, stay out until 3 am, go to your room and grab the light blanket and take it down to the pool and just sleep there, you get the absolute choice of locations That is acually how we met Paul in 2007 and we tried in in 08
Rob..Sure I'm there for ya...lol Bob...Nice hearing form you again. I think We've slept down there at least one time every trip. Just wake up and start all over again..
Think I may have to buy a couple of air beds ,Party far too hard to get up early , Does anyone know if you can get them at walmart there ?
