The one thing that almost kept me away...the name. I refuse to tell people I'm going somewhere called Temptation. It was all I could do not to barf as I booked with the travel agent. Such a cornholio name.

Around 2000 we were visiting Cancun a couple of times a year for 2 weeks at a time. Jannet (my wife) suggested we try Temptation or Blue Bay Getaway as it then was. We did, met loads of people and never went anywhere else again. Started this forum in 2002 and moved to Cancun in 2004.

Ironically since we have a 5 yr old and another on the way we spend far less time there now we live 5 mins drive away than we did when we were 5,000 miles away.

So we our story goes like this...
We normally cruise, this year we cruised RCL, and one night we went into the "adult" only hot tub. There was kids in it, with diapers on! UGH! Anyway, my wife and I do not have chillins, do not really want chillins, and so when we got back, the porter said that if we liked Mexico, we should try Cancun. So when I got home, looked up Cancun, then found out there are "Adult" only resorts! SOLD! ;-)

Also seeings how everyone is so nice, and fun! we are going back. Im not a total sailor mouth, but it was refreashing not to have to appolo. every time you get excited and slip.
and when the waiters told us the name of thiere blue shot, well need i say more?

A friend of mine and I were looking for a place to go back in the late 90's. We told the travel agent we wanted an adults only place so that we didn't have to deal with people's kids running around.

We ended up at TR (Blue Bay Village back then) and fell in love with the place.

My wife always wanted to go to Cancun but I hate tourist traps so I didn't want to go. Finally gave into her in 1999 and told her to bring home the brochures. Looking at the prices back then of $400 PP including air for a week I said we couldn't afford not to go.

Started looking at all inclusive versus not. Figured for the extra $25 pp/day we could eat and drink that much. Besides I love sailing and hobie cats were included. So then start looking at family resorts versus adult only. Which back then being sweet and innocent, I read kids and no kids. Well not having kids of my own I really didn't want to vacation with someone else's.

Found out it was a topless resort the best way you can and that is a knockout turning and showing you her best less than a foot from your face. It was also the week the the hotel celebrated their 25th anniversary. Was the first vacation in my life where on the plane pushing back from the gate in Cancun I was pulling out the brochure asking Chris when we were coming back.

Been back every May since and a few Octobers thrown in for good measure.

Call it what you wish. But, I bet you want to come back once you experience it!! It was our first trip and we met a ton of people. Got involved in the volleyball and things going on around the pool (including....gasp...the naked tequila volleyball game. PK's team lost and had to experience the NTVG penalty which I shall not divulge).

PK and I have been married for 36 years this March 2nd. Had sex every day but one while we were there. I think Temptation says it all!

We knew a couple who were coming down every couple of years with an ever increasing amount of people. Early in 2003 the planning began and as Joyce and I were getting married in August, we thought we'd make this our honeymoon trip.... a blizzard hit in February and after shovelling out, we mailed in our deposit. We ended up going at the end October with a group of 85 (yes 85 people ranging in age from 21 to 70). Our group was so large that Chinos made us our own country that week (imagine... USA, Canada, England... etc... then Eastern Yacht Club... although it didn't quite sound like yacht, more like jot). Halloween was during the week also and it happened to be on the day of the Anything Goes contest in the old nice shoes bar.... WOW! and we've been hooked since.
