House for rent question

I have a house in cancun that I want to rent, I will be out of cancun for a couple years so I want to have someone in charge of rent and repairs and dealing with the tenant, what percent of the rent is normally paid to such a person? Thanks

 

The range I´ve most often heard spoken of is 15 to 25%.

 

We give our real estate agent who takes care of everything for us (inlcuding everything you mentioned) about 15%. He has taken care of our property, finding tenants and collecting rent for us for the last 5 years.

He's been a life saver as our house has never sat empty for more than a few months since we got it. We have also only had long term rentals (no weekly turnarounds) in our home with individuals or families usually coming to Cancun from Mexico City for work.
