Well, I am changing gyms. I like the Omni but they are getting really burocratic. Any other suggestions? I checked pricing on Le Meridien and will need to get a bank loan to join there!! Melia used to be a local favorite but I am being told it is only for guests now. Looking for weight machines and barbells, treadmills, early opening, not too many folks, etc. and a nice sauna is great afterwards. Small and clean is all that is needed.Suggestions appreciated. (Who, me picky?)
i like yek..... definitely not hotel zone but, they have spinning classes at 6 good cardio decent weights not a lot of people. what is le meridian now.. three years ago it was about $150 a month plus 2000 to join or so....
I went to see Yek years ago and liked it. The problem is me. If it ain't close, I ain't goin! At least not on a regular basis. Le Meridien: LE MERIDIEN website http://www.spadelmar.com.mx COSTS: Family memberships ; 2 ADULTS and 2 NIÑOS For 3 years: 2,200.00 USD + 1,760.00 USD per year! FOR 1 year : 3,000.00 USD "only" FOR 6 months 1.650.00 USD INDIVIDUAL FOR 3 years 1,375.00 USD MEMBERSHIP + 1,700.00 USD ANNUALLY FOR 1 YEAR ONE PAYMENT "ONLY" 1,700.00 USD FOR 6 MONTHS 1,000.00 USD And if you want to try it out it is "only" $1,800 pesos.
WOW...........That is insane. I know people all around the states and none of us pay more then $85 a month for a single person. Most of us pay around $30 to $40 a month. This is for some big gyms too. Boy at the prices they charge down in Cancun you'd be better off buying your own a few pieces of your own equipment (if you got the room).
in cancun i find tacos, maids, beer (at a bar), fruits, meats, general labor, insurance, are much cheaper I find gyms cars exercise equipment electronics are much more expensive....
Super Fitness Damas is a great deal, $400 mn per month per person with a 2 year commitment. But Jim I'm afraid you are the wrong gender for that place.
