Yes, you may be able to re broadcast the WiFi from the Temptation service provider however most "for pay" Wifi connections(like the one at Temptation) require you to log in from a device and then lock that connection to that one single device. So even if you have a Wifi repeater/hotspot, others will be unable to log in/share that connection with additional devices. So don't be disappointed when sharing dosen't work for you while at Temptation....
I bought an unlocked at&t phone last year, and got a Mexican Sims card. Seemed like the perfect plan, but it would never connect. Talked to the I.T. guy three times, and trying different things, but nothing worked. Very frustrating. Hard to go a week without good internet.
West, pretty sure that app only tethers you cellular connection out to your devices via wifi. You are not connected to your home wifi with the phone then broadcasting out the phone to the other devices, which is what it would have to do. I would not count on that to work at all. What you could probably do is put a wifi bridge router that could do that, but the cost of it plus you would then be confined to your room for access doesn't make it so cool. If you are jailbroken on your iphone and it's not a microsim one you could go get a Telcel sim card either from the mentioned site or you can stop at a telcel store and buy and load one while down there and get a data package and use the tetherme with that. Or just pony up for 2 wifi fees.
It tethers wifi. I've tested it at a London hotel, train wifi and work wifi. All of these required logins per device and I had my cellular data switched off.
Typing this from my iPhone connected via Bluetooth to my wife's iPhone which has TTR wifi enabled on. Used my iPad also.
As Headstone pointed out earlier in this thread It works, however it's not WiFi sharing since your main phone has to be continually logged on in order to use the Bluetooth link and you will have the usual speed and distance restrictions of the Bluetooth link
Just double checked and the Bluetooth isn't being used. The software is able to share the phones wifi receiver and transmit it as a hotspot.
Now I'm really confused since you stated you where using Bluetooth as the connection from your phone to your wife's phone in a previous post, copied below
