Yeah there definitely are some crazy good deals out there right now and this is even after the hotels Jan 8th deadline for the buy 2 get 1 free deadline. Doesn't make any sense to me. They promised me in my premier presentation in early november that there would be no sales for 2018 with the resort being new and all and in such high demand ;) (sarcasm) My cost per buy in, when you add up front price and then by night AI fee, was going to be in the $400's per night. Deals everywhere crushing that. Great deals for Desire now too. I wonder if the added supply of rooms created by the new tower is helping to drive down the cost? Remember all the fears and complaints of the new TTR costing upwards of $500 a night for a basic room? Never happened, unless you booked way in advance which is rarely a good idea when it comes to TTR.

We're coming up on trip #9 and have booked each of them through either Hotels.com, Priceline, or Expedia. Each trip has been 7 days 6 nights. We've paid as little as $1650 (flights included, though that one was direct from Chicago, a 4hr drive for us) and as much as $2500. Our upcoming trip was $2450 with flights (Cedar Rapids to Chicago to Cancun) + jacuzzi room through Hotels.com. Orbitz was exactly $1 less but already had Hotels account. It was $100 less than booking directly through TTR WITHOUT room upgrade and even with their black Friday sale. We can always save an additional $300-400 or so by driving to Chicago for a direct flight bit typically don't in the winter since weather/road conditions are a crap shoot. Not sure what members are typically paying but those prices are pretty tough to beat.

We just booked a couple of weeks ago through Expedia for Feb 6th-13th. Cost was just under $2,200 with nonstop flights both ways out of Chicago O'hare, and basic garden view room. It's about a three hour drive for us to Chicago, but we just get a room the day before and hit up some of the nightlife.

@Jen&Kyle - I doubt the higher number of rooms is what is driving down the costs as they only added 50 more rooms or about 13% more. I think the fact that their price increase was insane to begin with is the main driver of the reduced rates. I always suspected that once the initial interst of seeing the reno died down, the prices would not hold. While I personally feel that the reno overall was a net plus, there are plenty of reviews that are less than enthusiastic and I think that may also be having a impact on occupancy. It will be very interesting to see what 2019 rates will be.

on our previous visits we've split the trip between TTR and other resorts. What we've found in researching prices is that TTR is all over the board price wise (like hundreds of dollars) on all the travel sites. The other resorts (including Desire which is odd) are within $25-$50 per night from site to site

Do you know anyone who has booked with the above link (Prestigia or ZenHotels) found a smoking deal almost 2200 off but have never heard of these sites.

We had a similar positive experience, after our first time there (it was still BBG then) which I booked on www.vacationstogo.com ... I used Expedia to package up our trips from 2007 through 2010 when we got our membership. Or, maybe we got the membership in 2012? I really can't remember. Too many wet pussies.

You can take that last comment however you like. LOL!

Now, as members, I email my guy, Carlos Ruby, at the premier desk and he sets me up with whatever I want, TTR, DRM or Pearl. I've been watching the prices ta;talked about on here at CCC vs. my member price, and it's seeming to be holding true, members are now getting a better deal than the package plans. So, that's good I think.
