Last April people were getting bumped left and right had nothing to do where you booked, they just overbooked.I actually heard that story (you know who from, lol) before I booked. Weighed the risks and took the plunge,,, hopefully it works out
We just booked Feb 13 to the 21st. I called the company several times to ask questions and they were very helpful. Still nervous that we will get there and not have a reservation, but when I asked about that, they said the next time I receive an email from them that it would have my reservation number from Temptations so I will just call and confirm that then. If anyone goes before us, please let us know how it goes for you.
When does the 17% get placed on the total? I get to a screen where you have to put credit card info but do not see 17% added on. Does it let you confirm with total once you add credit card info?
As Donald said save yourself some time and just call the 800 number. You have to after you enter your info anyway.
You end up having to call them anyway. Online what happens is you put in your credit card info. You then reach a page that says call a number to verify availability and confirm your reservation. It gives you a reservation id (as noted above this is of course not a Temptation confirm #). You then call the number where they go over your dates, personal info and give you the total price which is what you saw online plus 17%. Note that initially when this deal went on sale weeks ago I called and they then said they were sold out. So just because their website says it is still available doesn't mean it necessarily is. I think they likely have a certain number of packages they can sell at that rate. I assume they sold out weeks ago and now have added more but they may sell out again of course.
You would think Alpharooms would get keen on this deal and start offering more competitive prices as they would make a killing with this same exact deal.
But if Alpharooms bought their room slots at say $125 a night and are selling them now for $150 they aren't making much. That and if they sold them for $99/nt... they would be taking a huge hit!
