The best desserts we had at Cancun were the Asian desserts. We like the lighter less sugary not as dense desserts -

A few of the desserts we had in Cabos Temptation last April:

Thanks for your honesty. I am one of the crazies that loves to stay around Paty'os. I love to be woken up by Bon Jovi, Enrique and even Rhianna at times. I love that I can wake up and feel like dancing even before my feet hit the floor. I love the convience too so I wouldn't change that one bit. I don't love all of the food. I love the Italian, Chinese, and I love the burger and fries. Pizza sometimes but your right it not the best you'll ever get. If you go in April they will cook pool side, burger or sckewers. It's all fantastic. The rooms well they are just rooms for me to go and pass out for three or four hours. I know when we go in three weeks 300 of my friends from this site will be there with me. I am looking forward to getting back with friends and meeting everyone here that I have talked to in the last 3 or 4 months. I am also gonna do two and maybe three boobs cruises. I wouldn't miss that part so it's a shame you did. I hope that you will try another month before making your mind up and I hope you will come in April some day. Thanks for the trip report.

Shoot, she didn't like it. I blame Spring Break time frame. March isn't so good for anywhere in Mexico as all the guys in the world apparentlyt hink that all they need to do is show up and they get to have sex.

Nope. It's still the real world, bro.

I think I'll just use the calories that would have been consumed with desserts for having more drinks instead :daveandmo:

This trip report was very similar to the first one I wrote in Oct. 2011 - and I completely agree about the food. Most of the food is not edible for me, but that is not why we like to go.

What I don't understand is that we had GREAT dessert when we had the Drops of Love dinner in our room - it was amazing, with strawberries, chocolate, fudge etc. - SO good - and that isn't found anywhere else in the restaurants. I would pay extra for the dinner and dessert we got that night, every night - but none of it was on the menu anywhere at the resort - that is a mystery to me ...

The pizza is different because of the cheese, they use a different cheese that I think people either love or hate. For me it is "meh" - my husband liked it. We stuck to burgers late at night, the Italian restaurant for a "nicer" dinner (Michael likes the lasagna there, I thought the chicken dish with spinach was good), and we ate at the made to order egg buffet later in the morning, which usually held me over until dinner. I brought protein bars, my own tea, my own coffee, and flax seed organic oatmeal packets and was perfectly happy eating any of my own stuff if I didn't like what else they had at that time. I can't eat anything in the buffet outside of maybe the refried beans at breakfast.

We have been to TTR in Oct., January (twice) and April, and the crowd was definitely different in April, kind of similar the other months. I noticed more single guys and a larger group of gay men in April. Not a problem for me, but it was different and changed the mood of Paty O's for the theme nights last April.

Thanks for the honest report - and I would think you would agree that for the price it isn't bad. If they charged any more for lodging, I would be more critical, but to stay there for a week for about $1000 is not bad at all - we can't really do that anywhere else and have as much fun as at TTR. It is about hanging at the pool, meeting fun people, having some romantic alone time, and the night parties.

We would be pissed off if the A/C didn't work well, you got stuck in a bad room, we have never had that problem.

Thanks for the report - helps people with appropriate expectations to hear from people keeping it real!
