Just curious, did you address the fact that others got rooms and demand that you get one also? This happened to us a couple of times, both times we were offered a room AND one of the times I got a $120 travel voucher for each of us. (this was continental). I tend to have a big mouth :lol: But yes, you should definitely be compensated for all of your trouble! Including the round trip gas bill you endured, on top of the entire return trip refunded. You lost almost a whole day just trying to get home.
As of right now, i'm getting a refund on the tickets from Charlotte to Charleston, WV, but they gave me a phone number to call and express my complaints, and told me to make sure to tell them about the issues I had, and that I could also mail a letter too, that more than likely, i'd be compensated in some way.. They also said they have logs of all employees on shift for US Airways, and that the issue at Charlotte would be looked at... Thanks.. Glad to be home...
