Thanks. My favorite post of the thread. This point .... ‘started off most nights with what everyone calls techno which is really up tempo remixes of common songs’ ... I have been trying to make for years but you did it much better than I ever have and your logic as to why, in your demographics point, makes a lot of sense too. All about perspective. Personally I think the DJ does a horrible job. We haven’t been since last April and return next week. The reason I have always thought he does a horrible job is during a 5 night trip we heard the exact same songs in the same order 4 of the 5 nights (and this has been repeated in 10+ trips). And some songs were repeated in the same night. I like deep house, trance type music and yeah they don’t play that there and that is fine. All I want is some variety. I don’t like country but I would of loved if they played some country just for variety sakes. We return next week for a large part due to the music. There is a partial takeover and they are bringing in their own dj’s. So yeah I, like Jessica, care a lot about the music so we see eye to eye there, but I think of it more of an enhancement. Party is always great at TTR but with a great dj wow I imagine an epic experience. So next week we will see what effect the outside dj’s have on the party. I am curious if they have recently added more variety though M&MfromLa because based on your expertise evident in your post I can’t beleive you would think the dj was great based on what we typically have experienced. Here’s to hoping things have changed!
Suggest a step back to reflect at really how marginal this should be on your view of TTR. No one has been disrespectful. No one said all comments have to be happy happy positive. It's a discussion - which means opinions and experiences are stated. Maybe tune out if it's too much, but to end the thread - that's just nonsensical imo.
I dont delete threads just because someone asks to, because it didnt turn out like they expected. If a thread doesnt break any rules it stays. Yes, there have been a few sarcastic comments, which seem to have been responded to with equally sarcastic and aggressive responses. However, many have been constructive with people trying to explain how it is at TTR and their point of view. I'm not a fan of having people's time wasted by deleting everyone's comments just because one person asks.
The arguing, the bashing, the trolling, the loving, the rejoicing, the excitement, the complaining, the flirting, the laughing, the anger, the sarcasm, the honesty, the inside jokes (that you have to search hundreds of threads to figure out), the EVERYTHING...its what makes this forum so much fun to read, and keeps so many coming back day after day instead of working..... The only real life motto (some figure it out at an earlier age than others): "Dont sweat the small shit".
I'm going to make you a bet right now. You will like some of the music. Do you like hearing the same song (assuming it's a song that you like) every night? Cause that's probably going to happen. I love a lot of music and genres so it would please me if they were just a little less repetitive. I had a great time anyway. Bet you will too. Listen to your reving up play list when you're in your room getting ready to go out.
As an Xennial, I am happy to straddle. Nice not to have "mortal enemies," based on being in different generations. (I also really just gratuitously wanted to say "I am happy to straddle"...)
Wow, what a thread. My only complaint about the music at Bash is it isn’t loud enough. If they would just turn it up to 11 I wouldn’t be able to hear the complaints, and would be able to just focus on all the hotness around me. P.S. I never thought I would read “clap back” outside of a yahoo article.... P.P.S. not trying to put down the OP, this is my typical post bed, vodka influenced post.
