My booked Alan at the solymar 2 spring breaks ago, and I went down there to party with him. During spring break, it is packed with breakers!!! Regardless if its half owned by private condos, that place was all breakers and was a party atmosphere! Not sure if its changed in the 2 years since, but there were plenty of breakers there for sure!
Well for reading week you can look to pay around 1400 bucks or so.. I like trying holidaymarkettravel.com myself. and I travel2000.com. Hotels like the Gran Caribe, BArcelo Costa, Oasis CAncun/Viva. MIght be a good Choise. As well as the Tucancun, I was there my first year in CAncun, and it was packed with Canadians on Reading week, that was the only time I was ever in Cancun on Reading week. But it was a great time at that hotel..

Actually as a Canadian your best bet would be to get a All Inclusive package, with the food and booze, hotel, and accomadations included all together. It's much eaasier to do that booking hotels seperately. That wa you don't have to pay for your travel to and from airports and such. And everything is taken care of. Flights to CAncun alone are very pricey
sure was! Place was full of breakers! It was actually the first spring break after wilma I believe! Place was still trying to rebuild, but for the most part was up and running. Was funny, they all recognized alan and let him have the microphone during the day and alan would just entertain the crowd dancing and stuff, but that place was pretty cool!
then this def was the week before we went lol, we were there i think the 18th to the 25th, barely any breakers that week, it was the first sb after wilma, but solymar was one of the first hotels to get a new beach so that was good for us
We got a great deal on a private Villa, has anyone ever stayed at one and is it worth it? Were not all inclusive but for about $700 each including airfare. So i am happy about it. What do you think? Has anyone ever stayed at the Villas Marlin?
