On the subject of music...one major beef I have never seen it raised is this.... We go to a place called Temptation..sexy, sultry, adult fun ...etc The resort and CC folk come up with these themes and we wear these reveling clothes...ladies in particular get all tarted up and the coverage has fallen to a new standard in revealing...we are all paying hundreds of dollars a day to enjoy this atmosphere... AND THE PLACE NEVER PLAYS A SLOW SONG ...NOT ONCE ...NOT EVER!! ...maybe in Mexico the constant..."thump, thump thump thump" is some kind of aphrodisiac or foreplay but where I come from...I can't wait for a slow dance to turn up the personal heat a bit (Frankly, even if I am not dancing I could whisper naughty something's to her without needing to yell it out loud!) You want to turn up the heat of the whole place... slow it down for a song or two ...just like great sex....AND pretty much every great night club in existence.
If the management at TTR isn't paying attention to this great site, then maybe they would pay attention to a barrage of emails from all these same people. A lot of these complaints seem pretty simple to correct, but if they're not hearing them, then there is no chance.
humperandwoody I think the issue is ownership. Management offered a couple we were with a $50 spa gift certificate not to register a complaint.(my guess is that they get blamed for all the guests concerns) ...Meanwhile ownership holds their grandson's wedding ...in a private tent on the quiet side and runs the music LOUD from 9pm to 10am the next morning AND shuts the Italian, seafood and Asian restaurants.(we literally could not talk in our room and lost two days over it) Last year they held a private function in the Italian and pounded the music to 5:00 am. Another time they allowed a local bunch of local guys to hold a stag in Patyo's (there were fist-fights before that one was done). ...translation ... "we take your money...you take your chances" emails, while a great idea won't find ownership unless you have that one....and even then who knows but I suspect they are too arrogant to really see them objectively. In my view ONLY a drop in booking can't be hidden or overlooked. To that point, my sneaking suspicion is that the change in the "premier membership" sell job about a year ago was targeted at selling and collecting the cash for "blocks" of vacations...probably after they decided to seriously look at construction. It did two things 1- lock in existing folks to repeat visits and 2 - cashflow a good chunk the construction. To install a new premier area and sell that feature...soon to be a ring side seat for the construction project is pretty low. (the buffet restaurant and sexy pool are getting ripped out at some point) Heck...they have 5 people in marketing...and not one of them is on here looking for valid issues from the paying guests...instead they focus their time on closing the next "premier membership" deal. I am not accusing ownership of being stupid... just uncaring. Let all hope it gets fixed ... AND GOV gets it right! What could be better that groups trying to choose ...up to and including a vacation with 5to7days at each one in the same trip ...to enjoy the vibe at both. (I dreaming since it's Christmas!) ho ho ho
I've mentioned that on here different times. I have emailed them different times about issues and comments and when we left in Nov. didn't hold anything back in the comment card they want you to fill in on the computer and HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone else to do the same.
When were there in November we got a kick out of the paint job they were doing on the outside walls of the blocks. Instead of scraping off the LARGE bubbling pieces of old paint and doing it properly, they just painted right over them! Hilarious! What a total waste of time and money and still looks like hell
Here's an idea... Cover Patyo;'s and enclose it AS It Is, and make it the inside bar, called Sexyo's or some other dumb name, and move Patyo's out to that goofy Members-Only sun deck area.... Simple. you take the Patyo's "outside" idea and keep it outside, just on that deck right off the Sexy Pool, keep the Sexy Pool open late instead of closing it (dumbest idea that TTR has), the skinny dipping should be there, right? And, enclosing and climate controlling the new Sexyo's gives a real night club environment, that can't be rained or chilled out, if you catch my meaning.

I have to be honest here guys, its the people we like not the hotel, I have had the 10k buck vacations, I have had the 1100 dollar vacations, but the temptations vacation has by far exceeded any vacation I have ever been on. WHY? YOU GUYS MAKE IT FUN! If you guys migrate to GOV, then we will most likely too. Ultimately its up to zebra to choose for next year.
