Is Thomas Moore the best to book tours through? I see this company mentioned a lot.

    Help

First thing I would do before you leave, get mapckicks map of Cancun.

    mapchick.com

It's a set of maps, HZ, downtown, airport etc. You can find anything in Cancun from these. restaurants, shopping, entertainment, tours, tips and reviews.

Also medical, customs, imigration, tranportation info and more.

She will send it to you on the honor system and it only takes afew days to get to you. Cost was $8 US.

We also have her map of Isla Mujeres.

    aight.......

most of the questions are already answered, everyone here is very helpful with that.......

so, I'll give you my opinion on one of your questions....... to your question about renting a car....I have to say YES....definately rent one. Driving down there is a bit different then here at home, BUT different doenst mean difficult.
I have rented a Jeep everytime Ive been down there and it's not a big deal to get around at all. I put the top down and go where ever I want. The advantage about renting is that you make your own schedule when going to places and get there and leave when you want. If you take their tours, you have to be at a certain place at a certain time and have to leave when they want.
    But again....thats just me!!!!

PS. If you do decide to rent.....and want to go on a fun little trip......rent a jeep, put the top down and take a ride down to Playa Del Carmen. Its only a 45 min. ride, easy to get to (just 1 highway) and Playa Del Carmen is a VERY cool place....Look it up.....

That's why I'm up-in-the-air about renting. I do like the convenience of having a car. How is the parking downtown and in the hotel district? Is it free?
