They are trying it, they are working on getting the heating system dialed in, but won't advertise heated pools yet.
On dec 28 the heaters started working,(freezing water before) the pools were actually very warm for the duration of or trip Almost too warm ounce the air temps started rising. One of the staff mentioned they use a heat exchanger from the hot water feeding the pool side rooms , hence the complaints of some people having no hot water in there shower.??? They should find a happy medium, and clean the pools mid day, saw floating scum in the afternoon.( suntan oil hopefully).
When I was at both resorts...Cancun in 04 and Cabo in 09 I remember the Cabo pool being very warm, could swim all day it was sooo nice, could have been the time of year too. I can't recall the Cancun pools being cold but I think I would have remembered bc I am a real water baby and swim a good portion of the day so it is very important for me to have nice warm water to swim and schmooze in.
new year's Just returned and we can confirm that the sexy pool is now heated....almost liike a warm bath. The sports pool is still cold soo shrinkage still an issue @ naked tequilla v-ball!
