:sauer005::sauer005: we will be there in 20 days and a little sad that Chinos will not be there more for my virgin friends that myself. after many trips (some with/some without chinos) I definitaley can tell the difference. not only does he personally raise the bar for entertainment, he brings the rest of the crew up to his level. i plan to still have a great time but wish chinos good luck and health. BTW if anyone hears that he is going someplace else after his break let us know. always looking for new places to travel !!!
My view is different then many...but I never really saw it that way. For me/us, it's always been about the people. We're about to make our 4th trip and if he's there he's there, if not, oh well is kind of my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing against him personally. I do see how he gets things going but in the end, I think it's the peopled that make Temptation...all of YOU people!! So, we now need to take it upon ourselves to take it to that level!!! I look at it this way, some of the most fun I've had there is at night at the bar and he's not even there. With all that said, I do hope everything is OK with him. He is a trooper, a workaholic, and an all around good person and with everything I've said...I'd still love to see him back there in 2 weeks when we arrive!
Whoa. I'm really sad to hear that. We took our first trip to TTR back in March of this year, and we had a wonderful time, much of that due to Chinos. We enjoyed a lovely conversation at lunch with him, and found him to be every bit as friendly and warm as many of ya'll had said. I hope whatever winds blew him away will send him back to TTR soon. The place just won't be the same without him.
I agree, however I think Chino did a lot more then some people even think about or give him credit for... He helped keep a lot of perverts from taking a million pictures, he was one that would keep the cocky drunk guys from ruining everyones fun during the day, Chino was the one staff person that you could go to that would get things done or help you out during the day... Will it ruin anyones vacation that he is not there, probably not... will it make a difference, I definately think so.
Well were going back for halloween and as much as we like chinos we'll wait and see how much fun it is there. ( we go 4- 5 times a year) If it's great we may go back. The last time chinos was gone we stopped going to TTR because frankly it sucked. He came back and so we did too. We'll see but don;t seem positive.
I hear ya.. but... if it was just the people, then the TTR atmosphere could be at anyone of the other Adults only hotels in Cancun. Lots of you have gone to those hotels and switched to TTR. Why, cause the entertainment sucked. And with sucky entertainment people are less likely to start the interfacing between themselves. I've always described the hotel as a place where the entertainment stirs up the crowd to get the vib going. Without that constant stirring people will drift back into their cocoons and TTR will become like any other place. Chinos was the constant poking at the downer folks that just wanted to sit around at the "Holiday Inn" If he's leading the charge then we were embolden to do more and could ignore the stares of those that ended up at the wrong place. While we can continue to act as we always have, it will get tougher if newbies don't understand that this type of behavior is sanctioned by the hotel. It won't happen overnight but in a few years if they don't get another Chinos, TTR will becomes just another adults only hotel like everyone else on the strip. Case in point is the current problems we have with RCI members that transfer in from other hotels and are "shocked" by the goings on. If Chinos is not there to tell them to go F*ck themselves, it's going to get harder to resist their influence. So yes it's the people that make the difference but as all good parties go, you need the right instigator to kick things off. Chino was that instigator. Jamie
I can tell you that I just got back last Tuesday and chino was there in rare form so unless this happened after I left I think it's false info.
