thats her name..and she got "initiated" in some events over the 4th of July weekend. But i figured it could all have been a gag, and that she got initiated every week for a while
Sara has been in Entertainment in Cancun for a long time. While her English is sometimes hard to understand, she makes up for it in other ways.
Both Jim and Jamie are correct.. THE PEOPLE who you meet and meet again and again hopefully do make each vacation special. However, Chinos is definitely a leader in keeping the atmosphere what it is, as well as hatchet-man in keeping the "assholes" in line. Like Jim and Jamie, we've been going there since the old "Blue Bay Getaway" days and he is the link... that connects us to how it was and what it is today.
April and I went when Chinos was in Cabo a couple years ago- it really, really wasn't the same. Really- you could feel the difference particularly around the pool- there wasn't nearly as much participation. Chinos is absolutely over the top at times- but he also brings people together the way that natural leaders do- and without him, it's just not the same.
We were there over July 4th weekend and Chino's was off a couple of days that week and the activities around the pool were dead compaired to the days when he was back. Sarah was there then and maybe she was new but she was no Amy or Chino. Stacey was carrying the load then. Even thou she is Canadian...lol USA ALL THE WAY!!!
Sarah was “fun” but trying to deliver someone else’s “lines” is not what an “entertainer” does. The current staff needs to interact more with the guests and that means “working the crowd” and reading what they want and taking advantage of opportunities. The sexy pool this trip was not like in the past. Many events were cancelled for lack of participation. The event schedule would change in the last minute. We asked two “entertainment staff” about one event we wanted to see to be told it would not occur that week. Ok, so we then planned an off site activity to find out the game was then played. Please don’t miss understand, we did have a great time, but the entertainment staff had little to do with it. It was the repeater guests that made the resort “really” fun.
