If your not necessarily looking for the club atmosphere and your just looking for a good time dancing and listening to music, then Slices or Corona bar is the place to go. They are both basically smaller outside bars and not crowded like the others are At those other places you will have a few thousand people, but these ones will only be less than a hundred or so at the most. Also, if your a smoker, because these are outside bars you can still smoke, where in the nite clubs you can not. We have been to Daddy Rocks and Daddy O's and Bulldogs. And did have a good time. But very crowded and hot. Never to the city or Coco bongo's. Always been told it's a really good time, but have no desire to try them. Just some other things to think about.
Just realized that apparently you are smokers, lol and as a rule smoking in mexico is allowed in all outside areas. Basically the same as the united states have become in recent years.
just for the record, it is not techno music. Techno music disappeared in the mid 90's. That's 15 year ago. It is called house music, and along with hip hop, it's the dominant dance music genre world wide, specially in Cancun. It would be very difficult to find a club that would play old school music. Ironically, you could find this kind of music at Nice Shoes. And yes, maybe Coco Bongo might have it. hope this helps. Carlos
thanks Carlos. That is great to hear. I was wondering how tecno music managed to survive in cancun alone. House sounds much better. Same music you would find in most clubs. I think personally we are going to enjoy that. Typical slower paced carribbean resorts have music at least 5-10 years behind. Good to hear that may not be the case at Temptation.
I think what most people call techno when they don't like the music lumps club, hiphop and all the other non-pop/rock music together. Basically I think what they're looking for is top40 dance music. What you could normally hear on the radio.
