Look at it this way.. if you do meet someone you know, they are there too and I am sure didnt go to Temptation blind to it being an adult resort and is likely not very happy to see you either.. go an talk about it, get past it and have fun.
Last year, in the sexy pool, there was a guy who looked so much like my ex husband that I was panicking and thinking I was going to have to change resorts! Luckily, it was not him. But that would definitely be my nightmare!
Never happened at TTR but we were at a strip club one night and noticed a man that went to church where my mom goes. The wife said lets go and I said ok but I have to go to the restroom first. I got up walked over to his table where he was enjoying the staff and dropped $40.00 on the table and said hope you enjoy yourself tonight this one is on me and walked on, when i came out of the restroom he was gone and the dancer said I think I owe you a dance.
A few years ago we were sitting in the nude hot tub in Jamaica. We struck up a conversation with a couple next to us...... Took about 5 min to figure out that he was a trial attorney that worked frequently with my wife at the time Father......who is a Judge in the same county. Talk about awkward :aktion030:
never anyone we new,but first year at TTR there was this couple that i keep telling my wife i know him from somewhere,she said i dought it.then on thur night his wife won a contest they asked where she was from and she said nashville.my wife looked at me and said i guess you could know him..didnt get to talk to them that night and they left the next day..
We met someone from Canada our first visit to TTR that we had met over a year prior at Laconia motorcycle rally. Lost touch with him and his girlfriend and bumped into them at TTR lol, but that was a good surprise! Even crazier we went again that Same year in November ! Our first night there who comes walking down the stairs to patys same guy! He was with his friend this visit and it was their last night there! Crazy two trips in a row lol
Ran into someone who worked nearby she'd moved over from a hotel that had a bunch of construction going on. She was absolutely uncomfortable at TTR, and was gone soon after.
Our first night at TTR we struck up a conversation with a guy at PatyOs ... after introductions, he told us that he met a guy a day earlier that was also from our small city in Alberta, Canada! Eventually, we did run into him ... and departed the same day and time - kinda crazy!! :icon_mrgreen:
our first trip last year sitting at the sexy pool there was a lady competing in the Iron woman contest. She was asked where she was from and said minneapolis, MN. We thought huh, small world. Talked to them later at Patyo's and found out that a good friend of mine from high school was his best man. Then on a different situation last year also, we got back from our vacation and find out that the HR director from my work was in Cancun at the same time. She approached me while I was talking to a co-worker. She asked how I got so tan and the co-worker said I just got back from Cancun. She explained that she was there to and asked where I stayed. So hesitantly, since I was talking to HR (at work no less), I said Temptation Resort. You should have seen how large her eyes got. So in order to try to get her mind from it as if she knew what the resort was like and testing her to see how much she knew,I then asked where she stayed. It turns out that she stayed 3 resorts down from us with her family for spring break. She said they were out on a BOOZE cruise and there was a ship that there were naked people on that docked at the same place their boat was docked. Turns out that she had to go to the restroom after their BOOZE cruise and decided she was going to use the TTR by the sexy pool. security allowed her to make her way through and come right back. She simply asked me if i knew it was a nudist resort, seemingly in disgust. Luckily the day that she came into the resort was the day we had just lounged out by the sports pool bed due to our flight being cancelled the day prior. Guess it could have gone either way with that one if we would have seen each other.
The prospect of 'bumping into someone I know' constantly weighs on my mind - particularly if it is one of my 170 staff. I have played out this scenerio in my mind time and time again......in the end there is nothing I would be able to do about it. Furthermore, any of my staff who would go to TTR would be very cool about me being there.
