Some older codes expired on 31st January. There's very little availability left until June so I understand
We book direct. However, we search for better rates through other agencies first. If you find a better rate, they will match it. We have had success finding the best rates through bookit.com. The price for Bash through bookit was significantly less than direct on the site.
I booked us for April by having the resort do a price match with the rate I found on the now-defunct CouplesTravelUK. What I liked about booking directly is that I understand you can change your dates (we have not tried, but Sean works in film and our holidays often get screwed up due to changed filming dates). It does take up to a week for the resort to price match, so you have to be patient. The site you want to match with has to offer trips in USD, but does not have to be an American website.
Not to go off topic but it appears that prices for 2020 are much higher than last year. The price increases may force us to only go once per year now.
We booked direct but only via a price match. Direct booking via normal pricing wasn’t the best price we could find. After a few emails, and a few days, we were price matched and locked in.
I booked an ocean view room for roughly $175 less than the direct booking price on a garden view room. Direct booking definitely did not have good rates for me. I usually shop hotels using hotelscombined.com. I had no idea, though, that they would price match other sites' offers. I'm going to definitely keep that in mind in the future. Thanks for the info folks!
