its kinda like one of the theme nights at TTR. it's just another excuse to get dressed up, have fun, and get s@#$t faced with people.
April 23rd, our wedding anniversary, patron saint of ENGLAND!!!! Heathens!!!..:flaguk::flaguk::flaguk: :daisy:
I'm damn proud to call myself a Heathen!! I'm not much into what most folks call religion. Mine revolves around enjoying myself as much as possible. Cuz the way I see it, you only have so many trips around the sun. You better make the most out of it while your here. Work hard, play harder and have folks remember you for the fun times they shared with you!! In the words of St. Jimmy...Paton Saint of Margaritaville, "My head hurts, my feet stink and I don't love Jesus!!
In Liverpool, it's still a big thing - a LOT of people go out and get drunk. You can't move in bars and can't even see the pavement in front of the Irish bars! Haven't been out on St Paddy's day in a long while though. Too much effort! If anybody is interested, apparently St. Patrick's day was the only day in Lent that Catholics were allowed a 'day off' from all the fasting before Easter, which is why people go mad on booze. I've eaten a doughnut today if that counts?
