I've heard about these pills you take and it keeps you from getting a hangover.....but do they actually work? I understand the physiology of a hangover (withdrawal and dehydration), and realize the best way to get rid of one is alcohol (bloody mary, screwdriver, mimosa, vodka/redbull, coffee/baileys, and other "breakfast" drinks), but just wanted to know if anyone has tried them and what their impressions are.
I know some folks that use them and swear by them it just seems that they are awfully expensive. For me, 3 500mg Tylenol before going to bed and a Gatorade when I get up seem to keep me going with no problem. Jamie
An Excedrin or two and water before you go to bed works for us but it just depends if the caffeine will bother you. If it gets you up early the next morning- all the better with no headache!
Never sobered up long enough at TTR to get a hangover, but did about bite it one day when I did not drink enough water to say hydrated. With that said, I do not do shots, and drink ice with every drink during the day. Yes, ice with the XX and limon. I am sure that more than a few of the shots would bring about the hangovers.
Last year we just "bumped up" our anti ox's, Vit E Vit C etc and had no problems any night or morning! Life extension makes an anti alchol mix which will be testing this week! That plus lots of water before during and after. One more day for us!
I came across an article in a home remedies book, this guy wrote that for years when he and his family would have get togethers and drink ,he would serve them all something called BIFIDO before they all went to bed and swears they would never end up with a hang over.We found it in a supplement form and have yet to try it.Going to Put in Bay this weekend will try it out and report back.
Two tylenols and a bottles of water before your head hits the pillow works for me... Have a great time..
