We've been tapering out of workout mode :announce:and into liver workout mode :ernaehrung015:the last couple weeks, and this stuff has been a godsend. We bought 100 (50 + 50 free, woot!) and I am so glad we're gonna have it in Cancun. At least 4 per person per day, and soooooo worth it.
Has anyone had an issue with drinking the water at the resort? That concerned me about the powdered drink mixes (unless that stuff is good in beer:sunny. I know they had a little plaq that said the water was safe to drink in the bathroom but it smelled like pool water so I was still uncertain about it.
There's absolutely no issue with the water at the resort. I have a sensitive stomach but I've never been sick from the water there. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
If you are concerned, you could leave a tip for staff to leave extra bottled water. Although, we have never had problems with the water.
This had always been a touchy subject on here. We were told 2 trips ago that the water was purified or whatever and half way through the trip turned on the tap in our bathroom and it came out brown. We always walk to the little store to the right outsied the front door of the resort in the morning and get a gallon of bottle water for the day. We use that to mix gatorade or whatever and brush our teeth. Regardless of what people say better safe than sorry for us.
Just to be safe I'll probably stick with bottled water. I'd hate to waste a day of my precious vacation in a bathroom ill.
Makes sense. Plenty of bottled water available. Tap water ok for brushing teeth but I wouldn't drink it. (Microbiologist by trade!). :daisy:
I think you guys bought them all out! I just went to try and buy the 25 pack and they are all sold out and all I can find is the 4 pack for $8. Not sure if it is woth it at that point. Think we will risk it with a bottle of high concentrat vitamin b pills and some Gatorade packs.
Try taking Milk thistle natural ingredient take them before you start drinking and it helps your liver to flush out the nasty bits from the drinks and so helps the effects of hangover. thats and before go to sleep drink a load of water. works for us
I found this in the August 2010 edition of Men's Journal, and have been making it ever since. The dry ingredients can be mixed up at home and brought to Mexico, and you simply add water. Make Your Own "-ade" Drink Here's a recipe I found for making your own Sports Drink. Stacy Sims is the inventor and is an environmental exercise physiologist that has been researching sports drinks for the last 8 years. She says that "over an hour of exercise, everyone requires higher sodium content and lower sugar content to facilitate the most efficient movement of liquid from your stomach to your blood, and none of the current drinks on the market contains those correct amounts." She tested her product against the leading brands by having subjects drink from unlabeled water bottles while running for 30 minutes; the testers then did a one-kilometer race. Subjects that had drunk her recipe ran 15 to 20 percent faster! The Sims Drink 32 oz water 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 tsp salt 2 sachets of Emergen-C (effervescent vitamin c packets found at any store) 1/2 packet of unsweetened Kool-Aid powder for flavoring
