I would estimate approx. 95% of the guests dressed up. Some folks didn't because they had planned to be home. Hurricane Sandy played havoc with some guests who were scheduled to leave prior to Oct 31, therefore hadn't anticpated needing a costume. Rest assured tho, you will feel out of place at PattyOs without a costume. There is a prize (3 free nights at TTR) for best costume. And there are always some great ones in the crowd. Remember it is Temptation so the sky is the limit for creativity.
I'm probably going to (supposed to) feel out of place, then. I'm only taking a small carry-on for this trip, and the wife is also. I'm sure the girls (we're traveling with another couple) will wear something slinky. I've never noticed what another guy was wearing, anyway .
Random Subjects So, Cheryl and I just got back from a couple of weekends sailing. This was something I had always wanted to do which will someday hopefully lead to sailing the Caribbean for weeks/months at a time. In the meantime, I want to learn everything I can about sailing. Are there any sailors amongst The Hotties and Hellraisers?
Random Subjects I have another bucket list thing that I am toying with accomplishing (or attempting to) in the next 4 week. I would like to do a survival 4 day weekend. The concept is to head into the wildness on a Friday morning with no food and minimal supplies (perhaps whatever fits into a lunch pail) and survive for 4 days. Has anyone done anything like this? Has anyone else had the Desire to do something like this or am I just weird (Cheryl is prohibited from answering that last question)?
Admittedly, I am losing count. I believe we are at 67 and I'm certain I am missing people. We are closing in on 20% of the entire resorts capacity. Imagine if we could organize a group booking for next year - what kind of room rate could you secure if you were booking 50+ rooms at a time?
So my last question for the group has gone over like a led balloon. I guess I am a sucker for the stories that start off as "I thought he was such a jerk' and end up as "we have been happily married now for 20 years". However, as I was trying to type Cheryl and my story, I have to admit that it takes a lot of typing and those stories are often better told face to face. So my next question - I find an upcoming trip to TTR is a great motivator to amp up the fitness focus. I try to run or do crossfit 6 days a week currently but now am trying to add weights to the routine. Cheryl also workouts regularly but has hired a personal trainer to help her even more. How about you all - do you work out and /or diet? Does Temptations make you focus on it more? What has been successful for you?
We are travelling with just a carry on as well! Actually 2 carryons each are allowed with Air Canada. We'll obviously be doing a stop at Walmart but with such a short stop to get our connecting flight, we aren't taking chances on lost luggage!
well we both go to the gym. phillip alot more dedicated than myself. diet usually is very good. but when winter hits have to make sure that the warm fattning food stays under control. and yes going to TTR really does make us pay more attention to staying in shape because even in the winter its warm there and cant hide in our clothes.
Going on a trip certainly does motivate us to eat better and exercise more but I'm comfortable and confident in my skin no matter what my size so whether I lose 10 or 20 lbs or none at all doesn't change anything. For lingerie night this past May my size didn't stop me from rocking my bra/g-string set :flash: Speaking of lingerie night...we arrive on Thursday this trip, what a great way to start off vacation at TTR!!
