Hey! I've been reading a lot on the boards and other sites and I'm really excited about this place. My friend had originally wanted to go to some other places that he said were "nicer" but they were all couples places; no fun, lol. Here it just seems like an amazing atmosphere. I really wanna book the Halloween weekend; just waiting for airfare to drop a bit. Now I have to decide what to dress up as .
this will be my 4th trip to TTR. i have stayed at a couple of other places in cancun and traveled a bit over the last 11 years, but this is the only place i have returned to. everyone: singles and couples, no matter the age are the best, most open, fun!, and non-judgemental folks you will meet. as you can see from many posts, most meet people that become friends for life. i am sure you will have a good time no matter when you go, but i must admit there were some pretty good costumes last year. check out moverbobs pics on fotki from last halloween....charlene
Hey Charlene. I can see almost everyone is nonjudgmental and very open. I think that makes for an amazing, fun atmosphere. The comfort level seems extremely high and that's important in creating a great environment to allow everyone just to let loose and enjoy vacation. I think it says a lot when you see so many returning people and so many people who've made friends and actually keep in touch. As for the costumes, I have no clue what to do. I'll have to do some research. I won't be too revealing .
If it wasn't judgemental we wouldn't be going back time and time again (I'm pretty sure this will be trip #8...or maybe 9...). We also definitely have made good friends and have gotten together at places other than TTR with them as well... we can't wait until Oct 28!
That sounds great, I hope to see you guys there. I'm still up in the air for my October dates because airfare is insane that week. I don't know why but there's only one flight each day so it's almost $700 RT. However, in November it's the normal price of $300.
Hope you can make it... have you tried travel packages. We've used sam's club travel our last 3 trips there... pretty good deals.
Thank you very much for that recommendation. If I book it separately (5 nights, non-stop flight, 2 adults) it's $2250 and through Sam's Club it's $2035. That's a nice savings!
cool... glad it worked out. Don't know where you're flying from... but we got a 7 nite deal for $1650 including insurance and airport transfer to the resort for our trip from Baltimore.
