Hi Dan, My first time at TR, and had a great time. I got sick my 5th day, but knew where every bathroom was in the resort. I usually go to Hedo II, but my vacationed with my two cousins, so we gave TR a try. I met lots of great, friendly, and fun people, guests and staff. How could anyone have a bad time knowing that Jose would be at the bar, knowing what you drank, and with a big smile. TR is not Hedo, but Mexicans are better, and more pleasant than Jamaicans. TR proved that, and now, I found a new resort. I will be back. Great meeting you, and everyone else there.
Dan- Bummer on getting sick. I hope you are feeling better. Now you'll have to plan another trip since this one was not what you expected!
Don't get me wrong the trip was "AWESOME"! Getting sick didn't ruin anything. Now that being said, I'm not trying to scare people, but i've talked to quite a few people who got sick. These are all people that have been there in the last 3 weeks. Waiting to hear in another week from all the april addicts see how they did. It definetely won't stop me from going back that's for sure, just first time ever is all im saying...
I got very sick on Monday and had to have the doctor come and give me a shot because I couldn't keep anything down. I finally felt well enough on Thursday to party again. It was a real bummer. I have never been sick at four other Mexican resorts I have gone to in the past. I also talked to many people who were sick last week. Maybe they need to check their water filtration system.
We were both sick for almost 3 days, didn't keep us in room, but kept the alcohol consumption down. Talked to lots of people who were very sick.
