Joe booked through travelup.com I honestly think it was around 1300 for 5 nights in a trendy ocean view room. I'm nervous about it and have been bugging him to call the resort directly to confirm the reservation. Has anyone else booked through travel up? Side note... I'm an over planner and have looked into a thousand different travel blogs and it's unanimous... Aways ask for upgrades. It never hurts. I'm not so much worried about the room as I am the bartender hooking me up with the premium tequila haha
Ive been thinking about this. We booked on cheap Caribbean. I wanted to upgrade to Bash from a Jacuzzi quiet room. They quoted me $600 for the trip. 6 nights
I heard amoma was Turkey I had the same misgivings. I ended up booking through our travel club but still felt nervous. I messaged TTR and they confirmed we were in. I don't think it hurts to confirm. $600? :O Wow!
We booked with Travelup, $291 for Lush Tower. Had same concerns as you, so contacted TTR a week later via chat support and verified the reservation is in the system. Note there are some additional taxes that Travelup does not collect per their website...
They give you an estimate on the booking page (before paying). Their FAQ explains that they are not authorized to collect certain taxes (bring a 3rd party wholesaler).
The TTR website does not include taxes in their quotes. GV room is posted as $290 today and there is another $24 CAD per night in "taxes and fees". Another discount website added $60 for the entire week. pretty sure that is the site's commission.
Thanks BnK. Still a couple bucks more than expedia today. I don't know how they price rooms. Hit and miss I guess
