Hi, can anybody recommend a good gym in Cancun (Energy, Sport dreams, Nova etc.)? Should be with sauna and/or vapor. It would be nice to know also the prices per month. Thanks.
Plaza Paseos Kabah - South end of Ave. Kabah (near the CFE sub=station) has Total Gym Cancun. It is very high end, all AC and including Steam/Dry. Cost is high at 65 US a month, but you get what you pay for... Yes, sadly this topic (living in Cun) has really died off. There is a FR page Cancun Expats you may wish to check out... J@S
I think Zona Fitness in Cumbres has a promotion for $4800 for a year which is good if you know you're going to stick with it. They've got a lot of equipment and are pretty large but they can get somewhat crowded during busy periods. There's plenty of parking too, which can be a problem with Total Gym.
Not sure but downtown near bus station a couple blocks up from hostel Munro joven just past what calle 54 or whatever for food mercado etc.. On the left. It was a nice gym with friendly staff. I got a membership there but got robbed a few days later in playa del Carmen for like 13000 dollars and all my ID, ending my trip. Only got like a week three visits or something out of a long term membership...
I highly recommend Anytime Fitness. They are a popular 24 hr gym in the U.S. But have expanded to Cancun. The Cancun location is across from Soriana On ave Luna. Very clean facility , showers w hot water , I was impressed. Sadly no Steam room though. I was surprised my "chip" key from the U.S. worked in Cancun.
