I hate to see this turning into a pissing match between people. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Whether it's linen pants and a polo, or something that barely covers your downlow, I could care less if you're ready to party. I personally dress formal for dinner then change into something as risque as the misses wears for Bash(barely covering the goods). We have had equal amounts of fun partying with people fully dressed as we have had with those leaving little to the imagination. So, no judgement here, and let your freak flag fly if that's what makes you happy
Taking this too seriously. Not judging people does NOT mean you can't have a different opinion about what is sexy and what isn't. It means you recognize they feel different about it and that's OK. My wife doesn't find that sexy on a man, but that does NOT mean we don't think it's ok for them to wear whatever they want NOR would be avoid talking or hanging out with that person. Non-judgement goes both ways. You can't judge someone else for not liking your choice of attire, however if they say anything to you about it in person, then tell them to "fuck off" because that isn't what TTR is about. Wear your crown royal bag with pride buddy!
Several people have mentioned jeans. I'm guessing they go in the winter time because they are WAAAAY to hot most of the time. (Remember, Bash is outdoors and this is the tropics.) I would say nothing heavier than linen if your man opts for long pants. Probably 90% will wear shorts. Get into the themes as much as you can and don't be afraid to push your limit. Don't think Vegas! The place could get pretentious pretty quickly. Think daring! Would you be comfortable in a BSDM outfit? If not, then definitely do it! If you would feel awkward in your skivveys, then by all means, try it! Wear something to Bash that you would not wear to dinner.
Yes for sure, jeans are tough to wear anytime other than Nov - late Feb. Too humid! Linen pants are the exact best choice. Stretching your boundaries is a great idea!
Damn, this is the first time I've seen such judgmental garbage when it comes to anything to do with Temptation.
So... does this mean it's OK for me to wear my pirate underwear every night? The wife is going to look super hot in the outfits I picked out, but all I can think to wear are my red, black, blue, gray and white pirate underwear with a nice T-shirt - accentuated with flip flops and a good tan... I don't want to brag or anything, but my ass looks super hot in that underwear cause I think they're just slightly too small (the underwear and not my ass). My ass isn't hairy, so I guess that gives me the option of wearing "mesh nut smugglers" . Got to say that is tempting... If I chicken out (I won't, but if I do), I'll go with some nice shorts and button type shirt.
The more times I can just wear stylish smaller boxer-brief cut underwear and a tank top or tee shirt the better! Also, I have worn full costumes for certain nights(priate, super-hero, ABC, devil). However, no matter what they are always too hot, with each trip I seem to be moving to the underwear standard more and more.
