I can't for the life of me fathom why anyone needs a semi-automatic gun, or needs 15000 rounds of ammunition stored in their house, this isn't a personal attack on those that have it, merely a statement that I can't comprehend why it's required. Because they can!!!

:banghead: Why would one do that? Not only would it kill the value, but why should I a responsible gun owner have to make a gun useless? Because it scares you? The gun is perfectly safe. Following your rationale we should put locks on every car or trucks wheels. A car is just (if not more) of a deadly weapon as a gun, and yet you get into your car everyday, and drive at high speeds passing by other within feet of each other. A car is only as dangerous as the person who is driving it makes it, the car in and of itself is not inherently dangerous. Guns are the same way. Should we ban cars or take out the engines? Cars kill thousands more a year than guns do, obviously cars are not safe so why do we allow them on the roads? A knife is a deadly tool as well, following your rationale, knives should not be sharp because sharp knives are obviously unsafe.
