We went to GOV last month. It was nowhere near competition for TTR. Totally different environments. GOV is a laid back, fairly boring resort with a pretty beach thats topless optional....TTR is a hi energy, party, damn near nekkid resort with a so-so beach. We prefer the latter.

Really too bad there cant be at least one other similar resort for competition. Based on nearly full occupancy year round, we can all expect to pay more to stay at TTR in the future.

WE do have a $$ limit though. Common sense will prevail sooner than later.

Have you guys tried the Golden Parnassus

For anyone that needs to have their TTR fix "fixed" and dont want to go to Cancun, there are two resorts in the US we have tried and like.

Caliente in Tampa (Land o Lakes, Fl)
Paradise Valley (Dawsonville, GA)

Both of these resorts have a zero Sleaze factor, have great CO pools and super fun parties on the weekend!!!

both are non AI. Both have an approximate $75 day/usage fee. Hotels/Condo rentals are 75-150 a day. Both have specials for first timers that can or can not involve a timeshare
"opportunity". No passport required (no clothes either)
