OK, we are booked for 10/25 - 11/1 at the GR Solaris The reviews on this resort that I have been reading have been very good. The one thing I can not seem to find is the location of the resort on the strip. We have stayed at the Omni a few times and the "old" Caribbean Village. Can anyone give me an idea where GR Solaris is located in relation to either of the those places? Muchas Gracias'
The GR Solaris, part of the Mexican owned Royal Solaris Hotels is located next to the Crowne Paradise Club, just south of Playa Delphines, around KM 18.5 or 2 KM south of the Omni in the Southern Hotel Zone. The Hotel is a small 306 room resort in the upscale without being pretentious variety and personally is highly recommended. You can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave... :cdncat:
I believe the GR Solaris is around Km. 19.5, which is at the very bottom of the '7' http://www.cancunmap.com/assist/cancun_hotel_locator.html I see Royal Solaris and Club Solaris... isn't GR Solaris the same as the Royal Solaris?
The GR Solaris is the newest (2004-05) of the Royal Solaris Resorts and isn't the same Hotel as the Royal Solaris, Royal Tower and Caribe Tower Resort, located just past KM 19 in the southern Hotel Zone. The GR is the Royal Solaris, upscale, younger sister resort. Last thing I remember, I was, Running for the door... :cdncat:
That hotel is really nice!!! I stayed there 2 years ago for spring break, couldnt have been happier! Great staff, great location, great beach, great food, ect.................. you will LOVE it!
