Thanks for the tip! I will have to remember that. Shame you are going down in middle of June ..... would have been nice to meet up with you and your wife. - Stacey
Our March 1st arrival has been delayed from landing at 1115Am until 215PM. We used Expedia and they sent me an email saying that the airline had chaged my flight. However, upon checking Continental's site they still show the orginal flight. I call Expedia, talk to someone of no help and I ask to talk to a supervisor, frustrated but courteous. I am on hold for 38 minutes, they win, I gave up. I have sent two emails, no reply yet. I should have known better when the reservation call-taker, in person and not on the internet, had trouble finding the flights that they advertised. If they do not fix the problem or compensate us, I will provide negative reviews and never recommend them again. I can almost live with we will give you an amount for a refund and if I received some type of courtesy from Expedia. I guess my next call is to Continental. I bet that works about as wonderful.
ask to be switched (or pay extra) to be at GOLDEN. you will have a better time there unless you like kids running around. and ill be there march 16-23 too! and i always turn it into a partyyyyy lol
Be sure and talk with someone at Continental. I booked with Expedia one year and they sent me on American and everything was fine going down, but on the way back I was told that the flight was overbooked and I had been bumped back 2 months earlier and my travel agency (Expedia) should have contacted me. I have used then since with no problem, but I always double check everything. If they give you shit, i would demand a full refund since that was not your original booking, that should get a manager to atleast comp you something for the delay since you paid extra to have that shorter trip duration.
I was able to talk to a reasonable person at Continental (30 minutes on hold, thanks goodness for a speaker phone)and I found the email from Expedia (in my deleted files, OOPS!). They changed our first leg - Des Moines to Houston to an American carrier. That left a 35 minute layover, as was the first plan and they deemed that "illegal" because of the terminal change. The only other option I was afforded was make the first leg to Chicage - no - "going from possible snow to possible snow - ain't goona happen." I will ask for some compensation. Expedia refuses to respond. You would think that as "our travel agent" they would attempt to assist us. We talked about it last night and we agreed if we loose three hours of vacation time that it will not effect our fun. I will keep you all posted if Expedia makes any attempt to assist us. well.. actually at the beginning we were thinking about going to Golden (which was even cheaper then Great P) but after that I was reading lots of reviews and everybody was saying it´s a couples mostly hotel... so we decided to go to the Great P and sometimes pop in to Golden...
