Israeli cell phone equipment. The Israeli cell phone recording equipment you mentioned river girl retails for about 75,000 usd and is only available to law enforcement agencies in the states. I guess whatever they were doing in that complex was a really big deal, because those types of surveillance details are very expensive to hire.
They listed the people they (supposedly the equipment is part of the current local government of Greg) were spying on--newspaper owners and radio personalities--the news media! Now how could they possibly be considered enemies of politicians?? They are all sooooooo objective and unbiased in their reporting! (Disclaimer: For anyone new here or to me--I hope you are familiar with the concept of sarcasm.)
So, at the least it sounds like a gross misuse of city resources and some illegal wiretapping going on... but no worries, I'm sure our good buddy Greg didn't know anything about it and will issue stern 200 peso fines to all involved so they won't do it again :icon_mrgreen:
If Greg can get elected Governator after this well then ick! And if the guy is going to mis-use city funds can't we get him to bury the utilities on my street? Incidentally one of those lining up to be the next mayor of Cancun is the sibling of my most-despised next door neighbor (the loud rednecks who party too much and too late). So there may soon be a reason not to hate that neighbor so much...though I'm far to lunk-headed to forgive them their idiocy just because they have powerful siblings...
i heard that the neighbors alerted the cops/army of the house in question... The first thing that came to mind was how nosy the neighbor who reported them had to be to have uncovered a surveillance headquarter of some sort, aren't they supposed to be quiet, inconspicuous & to a certain point stealthy... either that or they were completely incompetent idiots...:aktion060:
Rivergirl, I guess you are not aware tha Greg is a (sometimes) participant on this website; just not using his real name. Cuidate.
TJ - Good one! But with everything I've been through here it will take more than that to scare me. Try harder.
