How hard is it to upgrade to a Golden Room once you are there? We are going mid September and was wondering if I should call ahead to reserve or just take a chance. Also, I know they do special things for Honeymooners but what about Anniversaries? We will be celebrating 20 yrs.
that's off-peak time so... you should not have a problem at all upgrading when you get there. But if you want to be sure I would just select a golden room when you book your trip - otherwise you can email Maru (her email below) and request an uprgade if you've already booked your trip. rpublicas@goldencancun.com I think the extras are for honeymooners only but you can certainly ask...they usually bring a fruit basket and bottle of champagne to your room...that's about the extent of it.
I emailed Maru and she was very nice regarding seeing what they can do regarding an upgrade however my most recent email she has not yet replied to which was last week. We are going April 13-20
